Afronita and Abigail emerge third at 2024 Britain’s Got Talent.

 Afronita and Abigail with their great dance moves and amazing story, have wowed the world throughout the competition, raising high the flag of Ghana and Africa on the global platform.

At the final on Sunday, June 2, 2024, the duo put up an electrifying performance in bright Ghanaian colours coming up in the top three out of the ten finalists. Once again, their performance got the whole audience on a standing ovation mode.

However, they came third, which is considered a significant feat for the Africans on that global stage.The two young Ghanaians have received massive support from Ghanaians both at home and abroad.

The 10 finalists included a choir, a magician, and a Japanese skipping group. Sydnie Christmas emerged the overall winner on the night after a wonderful performance, ahead of Jack Rhodes who came second with Ghana’s Abigail and Afronita clinging the third spot respectively.

The winner of the 17th series of BGT receives a cash prize of £250,000 and the chance to perform at the Royal Variety Performance. Afronita in a post final video expressed her appreciation to Ghanaians and the world for cheering her on. She said she was dumbfounded with the kind of love shown to she and her protege ever since news of their participation in this year’s BGT till the final show.

she said. “I don’t know what to say, I cannot believe the amount of love that I’ve felt.I am overwhelmed with love and it’s the most amazing thing and I wish every person in this room feels the way I do with this love, it’s amazing, thank you so much. The series has, as ever, been filled with spectacular talent and incredible acts”
